Estátuas lusitanas de Montalegre

Monolithic sculpture depicting a static warrior. The respective attributes belong to the scope of a native artefactual tradition: a small, round and flat shield with central "omphalos" ("caetra"); triangular dagger or short sword with discoid pommel; "viria" with three rods on the right arm; open-looped torc thickened at the endings; "sagum" with V-shaped low neck and short sleeves fastened by a waistband. His head is proportionate, showing a short hair, which frees the ears, beard and moustache. (According to record of the Exhibition Catalogue "Religions of Lusitania").
